Power Vinyasa Yoga is a vigorous,
challenging, heated vinyasa style class (apx., 80 degrees). Vinyasa means to flow or link one movement into the next
while coordinating each movement with the pranyama (breath). Emphasis is on safe & healthy alignment. The warm
room assists in keeping muscles warm, increases flexibility and purifies the body by removing toxins
through the sweat. This class offers a complete workout; building a strong, flexible body and a quiet, peaceful
mind. Beginners welcome but physical fitness is recommended. Be prepared to sweat!
Power Vinyasa Yoga - Anusara Style - Anusara,
which was developed by John Friend, celebrates the essential goodness in each student, and brings the student to a higher
state of opening and freedom by addressing the inner experience as well as the physical alignments of the yoga postures.
By opening ourselves to the greater flow of Universal energy, we find ourselves transformed on the mat, as well as off it.
Ashtanga Yoga/Primary Series - is considered
the "original power yoga" (as power vinyasa yoga was derived from Ashtanga). Ashtanga is a specific set
of postures linked by the breath and always practiced in the same order. This style of yoga can be extremely challenging
at first - but with persistence you will experience deep changes on every level. Although the class includes some advanced
postures, all of the postures can be modified for individual needs. By focusing on the combined rhythm of breath and
movement you will find the class to become a "vigorous" moving meditation. Ashtanga has recently become
popular in United Stated due to celebrities who practice this style of yoga, such as Madonna, Cheryl Crow and
Sting. Beginners welcome but physical fitness is recommended. This class is also taught in a warm room (apx.,
80 degrees) - be prepared to sweat!
Ashtanga
Yoga/Intermediate Series - is also known as the "Second Series" or by the traditional title "Nadi Shodhana".
The Intermediate Series is said to purify the subtle energy channels or nadis. Through an invigoration combination
of backbends, spinal twists and inversions, the nadis are opened up allowing prana to flow freely throughout the body.
This challenging class will be introduced and explored one posture at a time with modifications that allow the Ashtanga practitioner
to compliment the Primary Series practice. Mastery of the Primary Series is not a prerequisite, although some familiarity
with the sequence is helpful. This class is meant to deepen your Ashtanga practice.
Beginner's Ashtanga Yoga/Primary Series - although
still challenging, this class will move more slowly and provides an introduction to the Primary Series. This class will
cover the opening sequence, part of the primary series and the closing sequence. This class will be taught in a warm
room (apx., 80 degrees) - be prepared to sweat!
PranaVayu Vinyasa Yoga - PranaVayu Yoga blends vigorous
flowing sequencing with contemplative excersizes and breathing techniques that help students return to a sense of centeredness
and balance. PranaVayu Yoga integrates Power Yoga and Ukrainian training methods which are characterized by postural
efficiency and deepening flows that honor the breath, body and mind. PranaVayu classes are fun and challenging, but
ultimately help you to return to a sense of calm---bringing you back to your center, back to your breath, and leaving you
open to experience life with a renewed sense of curiosity. (this class will be taught in a warm room - apx., 80 degrees)
Beginner's Power Vinyasa Yoga -
this class is appropriate for new students or experienced students wishing to strenghthen the foundation of
their practice. In this class we will break down the asanas (poses) from the bottom up incorporating
basic principles of alignment, bandhas, vinyasa flow and breathwork.

hatha yoga poses to create deep opening in the muscles, connective tissue and fascia around the hips, spine, shoulders, and
neck. All poses are supported w/soft props and held for extended periods of time to receive maximum benefit. Full
